Seattle-based BankInfinity announced yesterday its intention to develop wireless capabilities for delivering
financial services to meet the needs of both its financial processing customers as well as its retail banking customers.

“The wireless services we are developing in cooperation with Nexage, a Bellevue-based wireless
developer, will ensure that BankInfinity stays ahead of the pack in the online
financial services industry,” says Sherry Avena, CEO of BankInfinity.

Buyers and sellers in online marketplaces, for example, will be able to trade assets through PDAs and digital phones in real-time without having to write a check or use a third-party payment center.

A demo of the capability has been developed. Using a Web-enabled phone, anyone can go to http://www.bankinfinity.com to try its wireless online banking demo.
