BiblioTech Acquires Top Boating Site

BiblioTech, which
claims
to be one of Europe’s fastest growing Internet companies, has acquired
AboarD, a leading boating and yachting
destination once voted ‘best UK Internet site’ by a leading business
magazine.

Established in 1995, AboarD has become a focus for the marine market. One of
its main features is called ‘The Marketplace,’ where other companies can
showcase
their services. Another is ‘The Nauti-Links,’ which has
over
5,000 marine-related listings together with marketing, advertising and PR
services.

AboarD will now be merged into BiblioTech’s other communities which include
the highly successful schoolmaster community to which schools from 25
countries
belong.

“We are very excited to have acquired AboarD as a leading site for the
boating
community,” said Nabil Shabka, BiblioTech’s managing director.

“AboarD has much synergy with BiblioTech’s objective to create online
communities
for different markets. We are now able to offer AboarD users and clients
even more
community-based interactive tools as well as an overall enhancement to the
service.”

Among AboarD’s clients are some of the major Super Yacht boat builders in
Europe,
including Abeking and Rasmussen, Hakvoort Shipyard, Her Shine Marine,
Lurssen Yachts,
and Sunseeker.

“Most of our customers are already convinced about the future of the
Internet in
this market and come to us in search of a company able to manage their web
sites
professionally,” said AboarD’s founder, Mauricio Garcia Ponte.

AboarD has grown its business by providing expert web site management to
companies
that need to concentrate on other activities.

The terms of BiblioTech’s acquisition of AboarD were not disclosed.
