Online auction technology pioneer
Bid.com International
has allied with Europe’s
Cap Gemini Group for a joint e-commerce strategy.
The two companies will jointly market e-commerce solutions
and promote the deployment of online auctions in France.
“The e-commerce revolution in Europe is happening very fast,”
said Brett Miller, vice president, business development, Bid.com
Europe.
Under the terms of the alliance, Bid.com will license its
auction technology, including its Dutch, rising price and fixed
price online capabilities, together with state-of-the-art
bidding and search agents and affinity engines. It will
also provide back-up and training to help Cap Gemini’s
clients use the technology.
“Our alliance with Bid.com empowers us to help current
and future customers capitalise on one of the fastest-growing
markets in the e-commerce arena,” said André Cichowlas,
advanced technology director, Cap Gemini France.
