Caldera Development Platform Beta Available

Caldera’s OpenLinux Workstation 3.1 – successor to OpenLinux eDesktop 2.4 – enters open beta
OpenLinux Workstation 3.1, the Caldera platform for developers wanting to deploy applications on Caldera high-performance, Linux/UnixWare enterprise platforms, has entered open beta and is now available for download.

The platform is built around Linux 2.4 kernel, and features a complete self-hosting environment, KDE 2.1, glibc 2.2.1 and Xfree86 4.0.2. The beta also contains a range of Open Source Development tools, which will be added to with Commercial tools for the final version.

OpenLinux Workstation functions as an integrated client for all Caldera server offerings, and includes Caldera Volution, a tool for managing multiple Linux servers and desktops.
