CatchWord, the Oxford-based distributor of online journals,
has announced a 30-day free trial of its service for librarians and faculty. Users will be able to receive the full text of over 300 journals from 22 publishers in PDF format.
“A key requirement for many librarians is to try out a product before they implement it across their campus,” said sales and marketing director Chris Beckett.
“The introduction of the 30-day free trial is a clear commitment by both CatchWord and our participating publishers to meet this demand.”
People who accept the free trial will get the full functionality of CatchWord’s system. This includes not only full text document delivery but also document to document reference linking and links from references to PubMed, the search service from the National Library of Medicine.
CatchWord provides its publisher clients with distribution services, sending online information to researchers, scholars, musicians and business users.
