CatchWord Refines RealPage Software

CatchWord announced the release of the Business Publications database, best viewed under the new release of RealPage version 2.30.

The latest version of RealPage has an improved search engine with three-level functionality: standard searching, a simplified basic search and an advanced option, the vendor said.

CatchWord now claims to be one of the world’s leading providers of online articles on the Internet. It represents 22 publishers and has subscribers in 40 countries. There are almost 200 titles on the RealPage database. To read the material, the company said academic researchers and librarians can use the RealPage browser directly, or gain access via one of CatchWord’s information partners.

The basic level of searching on RealPage is suitable for new users or for answering simple enquiries, the firm said. Normal level searching offers such search operators as “near to,” “in the same articles as” or “excluding articles with.” Advanced searching incorporates all of the above features together with more Boolean operators and date defined searching.

“These further developments to RealPage demonstrate CatchWord’s commitment
to meeting the needs of the end user, library and research communities, by
making the retrieval of online material more straightforward than before,”
the company noted in a statement.
