CIBC West Indies Launches Web Site

West Indians in Canada can now stay in touch with home through a newly-launched Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) West Indies’ interactiveWeb site.

CIBC developed the site as a one-stop resource center providing convenient, anytime access to information on CIBC in the West Indies’ products, services, and corporate information.

West Indian expatriates and Canadians interested in career opportunities with CIBC in the West Indies can review job postings and apply online through the site. Additional content includes hurricane information, up-to-the minute weather satellite images, and even links to cricket information.

“The site gives our clients up-to-date CIBC information, and serves as a platform for expanding electronic services in the future,” said Darrel Anderson, general manager, marketing and communications for CIBC West Indies Holding Limited.

CIBC’s primary Web site has been rated first in overall excellence in a ranking of international banks by Lycos, the popular Internet guide.

CIBC West Indies Holdings operates a network of financial service centres and banking machines across the West Indies. With assets of US$1.75 Billion, CIBC employs over 1,500 individuals in the West Indies. 1998 marks the fifth anniversary of the creation of CIBC West Indies Holdings Limited and the 77th year of operations for CIBC in the region.
