Critical Path, GTS Partner for Messaging in Europe

Internet messenger Critical Path, Inc.
Monday inked a deal with broadband provider Global TeleSystems Group, Inc.
(GTS) to market its expanded IP portfolio throughout Europe.

(GTS) name.

“GTS has the most extensive network and service operation across Europe.
Through its relationship with Critical Path, GTS is able to add reliable and
scaleable IP services to its portfolio,” said Bill Rinehart, Critical Path’s
vice president of worldwide sales.


He added that GTS had been searching for a messaging solution provider and
initiated the deal with Critical Path.


With the goal of hitting the market first in an early transition from
backbone to IP services, GTS chose Critical Path to roll out network-hosted
messaging applications.


GTS expects a significant increase in IP demand as mission-critical business
applications transition to IP networks, according to Leslie Harris,
president of GTS Product Services.


The services will become available in 70 European cities.
