Telecommunications operator Telfort of the Netherlands has
selected BlueKite.com as a provider of mobile Internet software
for its wireless Web GPRS solutions.

BlueKite’s software features
their DataReduxion(TM) technology, which is designed to
significantly increase wireless Web browsing and network efficiency
by reducing the amount of data transmitted wirelessly.

The plan is for Telfort’s customers to benefit by increasing their
ability to offer high-speed access to their mobile network and,
therefore, improved performance when it comes to using intranet
and Internet applications remotely. Access speeds are expected to
be equal to or better than 56 kbps.

Jan Wiejak, BlueKite managing director Europe, said: “as the roll
out of the GPRS market gains momentum across Europe during
2001, BlueKite will continue to be at the forefront and develop its
software to support the operator community and enhance the
wireless Web experience for the user.”

Other vendors implementing BlueKite.com’s software include BT
Cellnet in the UK.
