The Dialog Corp. plc is launching a suite of industry-focused information services targeting ten major market sectors on July 31.

The sectors are: business, news and media, government, medicine, intellectual property, technology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, energy, and agriculture.

Users will be able to access each of the services separately, via a unique
URL, or via a gateway to all the services at: www.dialogselect.com. Prior to the
official launch, users may preview the site at: test.dialogselect.com, the company
said.

The new services can also be integrated into a corporate intranet, for
which purpose the vendor offers flat-fee pricing, enabling many users from
an organisation to access the pages at a predictable price. The firm added
that fast access is assured through DialogNet, the vendor’s high-speed
network backbone.

Each of the services may be combined with the others, allowing–for
example–users in the healthcare industry to combine access to DialogMed
and DialogPharma.

“Professionals in all sectors need relevant information at their
fingertips, specifically information tailored to their particular
industry,” said Dan Wagner, Dialog Corporation’s CEO. “With more
information available than ever before, these professionals are constantly
searching for new ways to effectively harness the right information, in
order to support strategic decision-making. This new range of solutions
from The Dialog Corporation provide a focused point of entry to the
unparalleled Dialog content, enabling users to maintain their competitive
edge by quickly locating the exact data needed to make critical business
decisions.”

The Dialog Corporation was created by the merger of M.A.I.D plc and
Knight-Ridder Information Inc.
