Dimension Datas (DiData) South African i-Commerce division reports that it has completed an e-business customer management solution for German software company, InVision Software AG.

InVision bills itself as a “supplier of needs-oriented Workforce Management solutions,” with offices in France, Scandinavia, Italy and South Africa. DiData supplied the company with e-business application software from Siebel, which was implemented throughout InVision’s Sales, Professional Services (Project Management and Consulting), HelpDesk and Product Development divisions, as well as throughout its international subsidiaries.

Armand Zohari, chief operations officer of Invisions Software, said, “We are experiencing improved workflow structures, sales force automation benefits and increased control over our international subsidiaries.” Other claimed benefits include better employee productivity and improved levels of customer satisfaction.

According to InVision, DiData was chosen for the implementation project because of experience with similar projects and their “professional approach following a sales cycle that was conducted, for the most part, long distance.”

Jan Potgieter, district manager of DiData i-Commerce South Africa, said DiData “made extensive use of the Web for live demonstrations of the solution and to answer queries. This is one of our first remote customer management implementations.”

The design work was completed in South Africa and the final system implemented in Germany by the South African Team. According to InVision, the choice to go with Siebel was motivated by DiData’s support offering. According to Potgieter, InVision has already increased the number of Siebel seats significantly since the original purchase.

DiData was Siebel Systems’ leading channel partner in Europe, Middle East and Africa last year.
