Seattle-based E-City Software Inc. Chief Annis Jessa Wednesday clarified the company’s relationship with Connexion by Boeing, in light of United, Delta and American Airlines’ November decision to pull out of the venture, putting its future in doubt.

“We have received a number of inquires regarding our relationship with Connexion by Boeing,” Jessa said. “We have licensed certain 3D CityMap products to Boeing. We have no present contractual relationship with Boeing. We will keep the market advised as to any future developments.”

Connexion was formed in April 2000 as a joint venture between Boeing, United, Delta, American and Lufthansa with the goal of equipping the four airlines’ fleets with high-speed, satellite-based Internet connections. Lufthansa is now the venture’s sole customer.
