Danish portal Jubii Tuesday unveiled a new wireless service using Network Query Language
(NQL) from AlphaServ.com.
Jubii, which recently agreed to be taken over by portal network
Spray, has licensed the full suite of NQL software modules and will use them to
accelerate deployment of new e-commerce services for its 1.5 million+ users.
Kasper Larsen, Jubii partner and sales director, said the new technologies
were making a significant impact on Jubii’s business.
“The expanded licensing of NQL workstation, server and desktop runtime
editions will enable Jubii to bring new and innovative services to our customers and
visitors in a fraction of the time required by traditional technologies,” Larsen said.
Alpha Microsystems, also known as AlphaServ.com online, is providing the
software
through its Internet technologies division, NQL Solutions.
Douglas J. Tullio, chairman, chief executive officer and president of
AlphaServ.com, said the use of intelligent agents within NQL Solutions’
software enables companies to collect, manipulate and deliver information
with unprecedented precision across multiple platforms at a time when Web
content is doubling every two months.
“Jubii is a prime example of our strategy to build on existing customer
relationships. By providing additional technology over time, we can
capitalize on internal account growth,” said Tullio.
With the pending takeover of Jubii by Spray, AlphaServ.com can look
forward to its client becoming a part of one of Europe’s five largest
portals. After adding Jubii’s traffic, Spray will be serving more than 6
million customers per month.
