Excite UK has
signed a two-year content deal with
Interactive Investor
International (iii)
for a new “Money & Investing” channel
to run on Excite UK’s portal.

The deal means that Excite UK’s existing “Money & Investing”
channel is effectively being re-launched with new content and
state-of-the-art personal finance functionality.

“Learning to deal with the different aspects of personal
finance can be a daunting experience,” said Evan Rudowski,
general manager of Excite UK.

“By launching a next generation personal finance site…we
are harnessing the power of the web to make this easier,
and putting quality information and tools at our users
fingertips. This deal with iii follows closely after our
partnership with Egg and enables us to take our personal
finance offering one step further.”

The new site will carry information on taxation, mortgage
best buys, loans, investments, saving plans and pensions,
together with share prices and breaking news. A community
feature will allow Excites users to chat about current
financial topics, while a “Knowledge Bank” will explain
financial issues in jargon-free language.

iii, a major supplier of financial information in the
UK, also has operations in
Asia and
South Africa and an offshore site
at www.offshore.net for
international investors.
