FinancialContent.com Monday says it is adding financial filings from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to its product line. The new service will affect the company’s client base of more than 85 global companies.
The SEC filings are based on documents derived from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commissions EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval) system, which contains corporate filings submitted by over 15,000 U.S. public companies for full disclosure.
“We will constantly enhance our web package while maintaining an affordable entry point, which is ideal for clients seeking cost-effective, scalable content solutions,” says FinancialContent VP of Product Development Gregg Fidan
The SEC filings archive is the latest addition to FinancialContents ever-growing library of content, which already includes stock quotes, charts, company news, portfolio managers, and more.
FinancialContent is also in the middle of developing content modules based on the SEC filings, specifically for enterprise information portals (EIPs) that service large corporations and institutions.
The company says it expects to finalize long-term contracts with leading EIPs to provide customized business information services to their customers in the next few months.
Already this year the Milbrae, Calif.-based company inked deals with Utah-based AreaGuides.net and other wire services, boosting its online readership.
