More than 136,000 visited this year’s
Invex-Computer fair in Brno, Czech Republic, making it one of the largest
computer fairs in Central and Eastern Europe.

The fair, which was held from October 5-9, was dominated by local vendors
presenting their products and services. Most were importing hardware,
software and telecommunication equipment from the U.S., Western Europe or
Pacific Rim.

One of the product highlights was Paegas Internet Call, a telephony
solution by Czech GSM operator Radiomobil. It offers discount
international phone calls to mobile phone users. For instance, a call from
the Czech Republic to the U.S. costs about 60 %
of the standard price provided by Czech Telecom.

Another interesting solution was presented by Czech software company
Datasys. Its product, FaxChange 3.0,
serves as an add-on for Microsoft Exchange Server. It is designed to handle
fax traffic in small and medium networks effectively and smoothly.
