HomeShark, InfoSpace Team for Real Estate Resource

Internet real estate company HomeShark Inc. and directory provider InfoSpace Inc. today announced the creation of a new, co-branded real estate classified section for InfoSpace.com.

The resource will feature HomeShark’s HomeScout, a home listings search engine designed to provide potential home buyers with national real estate listings from four of the top five online listings sites. It includes listings for every major metropolitan U.S. market.

With information gathered from over 350 real estate databases, HomeScout will offer InfoSpace visitors realtor listings, homes for sale by owners, new construction listings and more.

For those InfoSpace visitors looking to buy or refinance a home, HomeShark said it will offer access to its customized mortgage rate comparison and recommendations. Educational tools and access to discounted mortgages made available by national lenders will also be included.

“Our arrangement with HomeShark enables us to deliver superior real estate services to our customers, helping us to continue to build customer
loyalty with the delivery of relevant services,” said Naveen Jain,
president of InfoSpace Corporation.

“There has been a tremendous growth in the use of the Internet to search
for a home over the last two years. With this InfoSpace alliance, we hope to make it accessible to millions of home shoppers looking to save time and money,” said Ned Hoyt, HomeShark president and CEO.

InfoSpace said it also plans to redistribute HomeShark’s services through its extensive partner network.
