IBMsigned a deal with BroadVision Inc.that
will enable it to integrate BroadVision’s suite of One-To-One e-business
applications on its RS/6000 servers.
The agreement provides IBM customers with more choices for building and
deploying their B2B and B2C e-business Web sites, and IBM Global Services
will create a practice of service professionals around the world to help
customers implement BroadVision applications.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
Products to be ported to IBM’s AIX operating system include BroadVision’s
One-To-One Enterprise eCRM platform and One-To-One suite of e-business
applications.
The companies said they will jointly integrate the Broad Vision application
suite with IBM’s DB2 data management software. And they will work to
integrate the solutions with IBM WebSphere for Enterprise Java Beans
integration with back end systems.
BroadVision also signed IBM Global Services as its top-tier systems
integration partner.
“BroadVision is an important addition to the portfolio of e-business
solutions we can offer to customers on our industry leading RS/6000 servers,”
said Mike Borman, vice president of Worldwide Web Server Sales at IBM.
Under the terms of the agreement, IBM will provide technical assistance,
development resources, hardware and software to BroadVision to assist in
porting. The companies also will allocate funds for the training of IBM
Global Services personnel and IBM Business Partners.
Founded in 1993, BroadVision develops and delivers an integrated suite of
packaged applications for conducting e-commerce interactions with customers
as well as transactions.
