Bellevue-based InfoSpace today announced an agreement to license its private-label broadband platform and services to Newport Beach, California-based Winfire, Inc.

Under the agreement, Winfire will extend to its subscribers a comprehensive suite of broadband and narrowband applications, powered by InfoSpace. The offerings include custom channels dedicated to the categories of search and reference, personal finance, shopping, news, sports, entertainment, and games, among others.

These channels will be provided under Winfire’s own brand, comprising a customizable consumer experience, which is accessible through the Winfire Toolbar.

The services powered by InfoSpace, will rollout on Winfire’s Network in three phases, beginning in February of this year. Through this agreement, Winfire also will offer customers streaming audio, video and live Webcast capabilities.

According to InfoSpace EVP Broadband Michael Riccio, InfoSpace is thrilled to be working with Winfire to offer these best-of-breed broadband services, in categories uniquely suited to the broadband medium.

“This agreement extends InfoSpace’s broadband technologies and applications to a significant, nationwide audience, and we look forward to continuing the expanded distribution of InfoSpace’s broadband technology platform,” says Riccio.
