internet.com Launches 10th Regional Site

Nov 14, 2000

internet.com, the Internet Industry Portal, on Tuesday launched its 10th regional bureau to cover the thriving Internet market and community in the greater Toronto area.

toronto.internet.com joins the growing regional line-up that also includes recently launched sites in Phoenix and Miami.

“The launch of Toronto.internet.com marks our first regional site in Canada and our tenth overall. It will provide local news and resource to the region and nicely complement our national site, canada.internet.com which serves the entire Canadian Internet business community,” said internet.com chairman and CEO Alan M. Meckler. “Our aggressive regional expansion has exceeded our expectations regarding the sites’ growth and acceptance in their respective Internet communities, and it’s time that Toronto’s business professionals had the local Internet industry resource they both need and deserve.”

Toronto.internet.com will be under the direction of Managing Editor Cindy Waxer.
