  • AOL (NYSE:AOL) gets Bloomberg to provide news on the online service, filling a void left by Dow Jones which left AOL when it began to charge content producers to be on the service and because the Web provided an open outlet for a direct link with readers. Seems Bloomberg has yet to figure out a Web strategy as its PC-type boxes remain the number one way it produces revenue.

  • Egghead (NASDAQ:EGGS) signs up to sell software via Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) as the formerly earth-based software retailer looks for footing in the freefloating ether-space called the Web. Terms undisclosed, although we estimate the deal at $10 million based on comparables. Egghead.com offers consumer and business customers more than 20,000 different products, including computers, peripherals, software, and software downloads.
