  • CKS Group (NASDAQ:CKSG) starts to find believers closing the gap between its trading range and the pending offer of $21.21 per share stock swap from USWeb (NASDAQ:USWB). The overall deal value was set at $350 million when announced two weeks ago, with both stocks trading south since then and recovering ground in the past few sessions. We agree that the double up may create a stronger player in the field, but advocate the name stay as USWeb, not Reinvent. Toby (USWeb president) perhaps you could do a poll of your clients and Web users, see what they think on the name. CKSG ends today up 23% to $14.50 per share. USWB closes at $11.25, up 17%.

  • Netscape (NASDAQ:NSCP) co-founder Marc Andreessen may have sold 200,000 shares September 3 valued at $4.3 million, according to SEC filings.

  • Vocaltec (NASDAQ:VOCLF) will be part of a pilot project with Israeli-based Bezeq International which provides international telephony services. The service will provide phone-to-phone telephone calls using the Internet. VOCLF shares gain 8% to $8.81 per share on the news.
