Intershop Communications, a provider of
sell-side e-commerce software, and TopSoft, an e-commerce systems
integrator, will utilize First Ecom.com’s payment processing
gateway to deliver one-stop e-commerce services to the Hong Kong market.
Intershop said it has already developed a ready-to-install payment cartridge
built to interoperate with First Ecom’s e-commerce payment back-end.
The cartridge has been deployed by e-commerce service providers such as Swisscom,
Bell Canada and Telecom New Zealand.
Processing online transactions through First Ecom.com’s payment processing
gateway will allow Hong Kong Internet businesses to deploy a complete
e-commerce solution, the companies said.
Intershop’s Hosting, ePages and Merchant products feature storefront and back-office apps.
Internet merchants can now access First Ecom.com’s real-time electronic
payment services using Intershop’s software and ready-to-install payment
cartridge.
Hong Kong businesses can turn to TopSoft to implement their
Intershop/First Ecom.com solution.
Financial arrangements among the companies were not disclosed.
“First Ecom.com is excited to be providing an Internet payment gateway that will
make it possible for Intershop to provide Hong Kong merchants with a turnkey
e-commerce solution,” said Gregory Pek, president and CEO of First Ecom.com.
“With this new partnership with First Ecom, we can offer a one-stop
end-to-end e-commerce solution to merchants in Hong Kong.” said Joseph Lee,
senior manager of e-commerce for TopSoft.
