JB Oxford Offers After-Hours Trading

JB Oxford Holdings Inc. Friday became the latest online broker to offer after-hours trading to its customers.

After-hours trading is provided by Instinet Corp., the world’s largest electronic communications network. JB Oxford customers can now place limit orders via Instinet on stocks included in the Nasdaq 300 Composite Index 45 minutes before and after traditional market hours, the company said.

JB Oxford said that the after-hours trading is limited to telephone trades for now, but the company will expand to online after-hours trading “as demand grows.”

“After-hours trading is just another example of JB Oxford’s commitment to offering competitive products and services that bring value to our customers, and is only one of a number of strategic developments to be unveiled this year,” said Jamie Lewis, JB Oxford Holdings president and chief operating officer.

JB Oxford Holdings, Inc. provides discount and online brokerage services, as well as correspondent clearing services to clients throughout the United States. The company has branches in New York, Miami and Los Angeles.
