Liv4now.com Secures $1 Million Financing

U.K. community site
Liv4now.com announced
this week that it completed a $1 million round of financing
with the U.S-based investment arm of Japan’s Trans Cosmos.

Liv4now.com targets a young readership of people who like
to socialise in clubs, buy products on the Internet, and
trade stocks in cyberspace. It says it will use the money
“to launch and grow the company in the U.K.”

“The U.K. Internet market is one of the fastest growing
markets within the European online community, and
Liv4now.com is the first U.K.-based virtual community for the
net generation,” said James Geddes, managing director of
Trans Cosmos USA and director of Liv4now.com.

“We are enthusiastic about this investment because of its superb
business model and its talented top management team, Serena
Doshi and Ewan MacLeod. We look forward to working with
them to assist in developing a worldwide presence in the
market.”

Liv4now.com addresses the needs and interests of
its visitors through five major channels: earn, spend,
live, meet and think. Its content is generated by members,
in-house journalists and partnerships.

“This investment will kick-start our launch in the UK and
will enable us to employ the best people in the industry,” said
Liv4now.com’s managing director and co-founder Serena Doshi.
