Seattle’s Loudeye Technologies Inc.Wednesday announced the commercial launch of its private-label Internet radio product, Loudeye Radio, at the NAB Radio/Xstream Show in New Orleans.

Loudeye said Loudeye Radio will give e-tailers, portals and terrestrial radio companies a custom-branded Internet radio application, delivered as a complete hosted solution, featuring custom music programming and ad insertion and verification technology.

“Loudeye Radio represents what we believe to be the next generation of Internet radio and signifies the first time the industry has realized a complete Internet radio solution from one company,” said Joel McConaughy, chief technology officer for Loudeye. “Terrestrial radio has established that audio ads work. The challenge to Internet radio has been to give listeners the entertainment experience that they want, while providing the compelling return on investment that Web site owners and advertisers demand — Loudeye Radio does that and more.”
