Internet messager Mail.com, Inc. went on a shopping spree Monday, acquiring
online calendar company eOrganizer and taking a 19 percent stake in
Internet fax specialist 3Cube, Inc.

Mail.com said the purchases were in line with the company’s strategy to
offer e-mail messaging services to both the consumer and corporate market.

Under terms of the deal with 3Cube, Mail.com will acquire an ownership stake in 3Cube and a
technology license. Mail.com expects to offer Web- and e-mail-based fax
options later this year.

Through the purchase of eOrganizer, Mail.com will also add calendaring
services to its roster. The free service is expected to launch in the third
quarter.

“Mail.com is committed to offering a complete suite of Internet messaging
solutions and these acquisitions give us the foundation to extend our
e-mail services to meet the needs of Mail.com members, our partner network
and our corporate outsourcing customers,” said Gerald Gorman, Mail.com’s
chairman and chief executive officer.
