Microsoft CEO Unfazed by Apple Market Share

Is bigger really always better? Ten years ago it would have been just about impossible to imagine Apple as a bigger company than Microsoft, but by measure of market capitalization, it’s happened.

Does that bother Steve Ballmer? Evidently not, as the feisty CEO bragged to reporters at an event in India that Microsoft remains the most profitable technology company on the planet and maintains a commanding share of the PC market. Datamation has the story.


If Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is upset that Apple beat his own company in net market value on Wednesday, he hasn’t shown it — at least if reports of his comments and behavior during a visit to India this week are any indication.

According to published reports, Ballmer told media during a visit to New Delhi that he is not worried about Microsoft’s (NASDAQ: MSFT) market position.
