Monster Board Woos College Sites

TMP Worldwide today
announced that its Internet career center the Monster Board formed three new
strategic alliances with college Web sites.

The sites–Future
Pages
, College Town U.S.A.,
and Golden Key National Honor
Society
–provide links to job-seeking college students.

Under terms of the agreement, each site will feature a
Monster Board link from its site. The Monster Board said it expects to
reach an
additional three million entry-level candidates and provide job and
career-related
information. Financial details were not disclosed.

TMP Worldwide recently established itself in the college marketplace with
the acquisition of StudentCenter.com and its
InternCenter, an online internship database.

“There’s no question that tomorrow’s job seekers will be the most Internet
savvy ever and, unlike many first time job seekers of past generations, we
believe they will begin
their job searches online,” said Andrew J. McKelvey, chairman and CEO of
TMP Worldwide. “By
providing them with the comprehensive career information they need to find
that important first job, we’re building a loyalty that will keep them
coming back over
the years as they advance in their career.”

Future Pages is a partnership network of online college newspapers with
more than 110 online publications.
College Town U.S.A. designs and manages Web sites for accredited academic
institutions, and has a network of more than 120 Web sites.

Under its agreement with The Golden Key National Honor Society, the Monster
Board will act as a resume data bank for the academic honors
organization’s Web site. The nonprofit society unites talented
undergraduate students with prominent faculty and university administrators
who are active in Golden Key at the chapter and national levels.
