Internet technology company Netease.com Inc. is launching Netease
Mall, calling it “one of the most comprehensive and advanced e-commerce
platforms in China.”

Netease said that e-commerce technology and applications are one of its
primary objectives and the new mall shows the company’s commitment to
supporting retailers “while providing state-of-the-art service to consumers.”

“We believe online advertising and e-commerce are a vital component to our
future
success in China and Netease is committed to providing full technical and
marketing support to the new Netease Mall,” said Susan Chen, chief operating
officer at the company.

Retailers will experience all the advantages of opening a franchise store on
Wanfujing Street, Beijing’s most popular commercial area, according to the company.

Retailers at the mall will receive an exclusive domain name,
allowing them to promote their brand and
goods.

A variety of storefront templates are offered so that retailers may customize
their store’s profile and style to
maintain brand individuality, Netease said.

Netease Web sites offer Chinese Internet users Chinese language-based online
content, community and electronic commerce services.
