NetMind Technologies, Inc. announced
it is powering online auction giant eBay‘s new Personal Shopper service,
released Friday.
The eBay Personal Shopper solution will enable eBay users to create
personal searches and be notified via e-mail when specific items become
available for sale on eBay, instead of manually repeating searches for the
goods.
“NetMind’s technology allows us to offer a personalized service that alerts
customers to listings they are interested in, even when they aren’t logged
onto our site,” said Michael Wilson, senior vice president, product
development and site operations, at eBay.
“Hundreds of thousands of new
items are added on the eBay site every day, and now users can feel
confident that they won’t miss out on that one-of-a-kind treasure they’ve
been looking for,” Wilson said.
Personal Shopper users track individual items by keyword, description
and price range as well as specify how often they would
like to receive e-mail notifications for new listings. Personal Shopper
e-mail notification automatically includes the links of new item listings.
Users can also visit their own Personal Shopper page to view all updates to
their eBay “shopping list.”
“eBay Personal Shopper allows users to do more with less time invested by
automatically watching for items and price ranges specified by the user,”
said Matt Freivald, president and CEO of NetMind Technologies, Inc.
NetMind Technologies, Inc. is an e-commerce solution company and provider
of change detection technology and online traffic and information services.
eBay also recently announced a partnership with Butterfield & Butterfield
for a new antique and fine art auction category.
