New Portal Launches in Three European Countries

[June 13] Everyday.com,
an Internet portal with free e-mail, Internet access and
e-commerce features, launched Tuesday in Germany, Switzerland
and Luxembourg.

A joint venture between NetCom AB and Modern Times Group (MTG)
AB, the new portal is being franchised by
Société Européenne de
Communication (SEC)
to offer free Internet access to its Tele2 and
other third-party customers.

Anders Bjorkman, SEC’s president and chief executive, said
his company had now completed its rollout of the portal in
existing Tele2 operations. He said the Everyday.com service
is available in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Estonia, besides
the countries announced today.

“The current focus within Everyday.com is to expand the service
offering in order to strengthen our relationships with our
Tele2 customers,” said Bjorkman.

In Switzerland, SEC is offering a bundled package of telecommunications
services consisting of fixed line telephony, Tele2 Mobile and
the new portal Everyday.com.

Bjorkman said that SEC aimed to leverage its customer base in
other locations, wherever possible, to the same extent.

Part of the SEC Group, Tele2 Europe provides national and
international long distance telephony services in the
Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy,
Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.

Other parts of the SEC Group include mobile service provider
Tango, which operates in Luxembourg and Liechtenstein;
public Internet service provider 3C Communications; and
transaction processing specialist Transac.
