Sponsored jointly by IBM and business software
supplier JBA, “just-auto” has
launched
in the UK, aimed at IT and business professionals in the automotive
industry.

Calling itself the “Online Automotive Supplier Industry Magazine,”
just-auto carries breaking news from Reuters, guest writer features,
industry statistics and surveys, best practice articles, publications
and a diary of all the major automotive events.

“Just-auto presents the industry with an ideal forum for an exchange
of ideas and information,” said Susan Hill, director of automotive
business development at JBA.

“It exists purely for the industry and will be shaped by its needs and
wants,”
added Hill.

Providing the content for just-auto are Deloitte and Touche, the European
Automotive Initiative Group (EAIG), Future Three, the Motor Industry
Research
Association (MIRA), Market Facts and Business Intelligence (MFBI), American
Software, Odette, PricewaterhouseCoopers, World Automotive Industry Trends
(WAIT) and the Centre for Automotive Industry Research (CAIR).

One of the key features of just-autos is the forum, where companies and
event organisers can paste their news announcements, and where readers can
add their comments.

“It will serve as a 24-hour meeting
point, an antidote to the global nature of the industry that leads to all
sorts of communication problems, from languages to time zones,” says the just-autos launch announcement.
