[Vancouver, CANADA]] Inglenet Business Solutions has completed
production of a dynamic Web based system for PeopleQuick.com that
matches project lawyers with sole practitioners, law firms,
businesses, and government departments looking for temporary legal
help.
“Working as a lawyer, I saw a need for this type of system,” said
Jennifer McJannet, president of PeopleQuick.com. “Lawyers often have
difficulty maintaining a balance between their work and personal
life, and, as a result, many are leaving to pursue other avenues of
work.”
Consequently, there is high turnover at many legal firms, and a large
gap in the workforce.
“The system,” said McJannet, “aims to fill this gap, and to provide
law
firms with the opportunity not only to fill the gap, but to
effectively reduce the bottom line by hiring lawyers only as and when
needed, thus providing a competitive edge.”
The Web System developed by Inglenet presents a database of resumes
that represent available qualified lawyers across Canada who work on
a contract project basis.
Employers looking for temporary legal help search the database, view
resumes, and hire project lawyers as needed.
The Web site has been open to lawyers in British Columbia since
October 17th, and in the rest of Canada since November 6th, to add
their resumes. It s being launched to employers and the public today.
Vanvcouver-based PeopleQuick.com was created to provide the legal
community with a convenient and cost effective employment search
engine. Toronto-based Inglenet develops technical solutions in the
areas of business to business, electronic commerce, intranet,
extranet, telephony, and interconnectivity with legacy systems.
