Rearden Technology is now shipping
SiteZAP, a
WebCam solution that can be instructed via the Internet to zoom, tilt and pan.

With the SiteZAP software that runs on Macintosh computers, the
hardware/software combination “lets Webmasters create the ultimate WebCam
experience,” says the vendor.

Brad Lowe, CEO of Rearden Technology, said: “The construction and security
businesses are the first industries taking an interest in being able to
monitor a remote site via the web. Whether for serious business or
cutting-edge interactive entertainment, SiteZAP users can zoom in and see
what’s happening from any Internet connection equipped with a standard
Internet browser.”

The SiteZAP combo includes Sony’s new EVI-D30 Remote Control Pan, Tilt &
Zoom Camera, with 12x zoom, 6 position presets, auto-focus,
motion-detection, and auto-tracking. The software includes an
AppleScriptable application, plus a Web server plug-in, a scheduler, and
two-way videoconferencing.

The complete SiteZAP WebCam solution carries a list price of $2795.
