[Sydney, AUSTRALIA] Internet audience measurement service Nielsen//NetRatings said today it is well advanced in the formation of a work-based measurement panel.

While the company has been reporting the activity of home-based users across Australia since March this year, the work place panel, which is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year, will allow analysis of both user groups.

“We are now delivering monthly data to the market based on a representative panel in excess of 10,000 at-home Internet users,” said ACNielsen eRatings.com director of sales and marketing Mark Henning.

“This panel continues to grow each month and we expect it to build more than twice the size of any of today’s comparable panels,” he said.

“In addition, we are now well underway in building a workplace panel, which will allow us to report online activity of Net users around the clock from both home and the office,” Henning said. “We expect to launch this service in the fourth quarter of the year.”

Nielsen//NetRatings is a joint venture between market research firm ACNielsen and Internet audience measurement and analysis service NetRatings. Currently the company said it has a worldwide panel of 150,000 users in over 15 countries.
