Nortel Renews Agreement With Hongkong Telecom

Nortel
Networks
renewed an agreement with Hongkong Telecom to supply a range of
communications products for voice and data integrated solutions.

“Nortel Networks’ Unified Networks Solutions fit in well with Hongkong
Telecom’s mission of being Asia’s leading integrated communications
provider,” said Gary Chow, general manager for corporate marketing,
Hongkong Telecom.

“We are delighted to see
that our strategic partnership has been further strengthened through the
distributorship agreement renewal,” said Louis Au, managing director,
enterprise solutions, Nortel Networks.

In accordance with the agreement, HKT will continue to distribute a full
line of Nortel Networks’ voice and data solutions to the corporate market.

Chow added that the telecom would use its resources and Nortel’s products
to develop solutions for customers IP and call center needs.

Hongkong Telecom recently launched an integrated suite of services, branded
as Com21, for the corporate that include Internet, intranet, e-commerce,
imaging, and call center solutions.
