Orientation Partners With Manila Firm To Provide Financial Data

Orientation, the rapidly growing network
of regional and local Internet portals, has signed a deal with an established
Asian financial market data specialist, Interactive Data Systems (iDS), to
deliver Asian financial information and services from its Asian portal.

Orientation Asia Money offers
financial data on nine Asian markets: Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Shenzhen,
Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok and Manila.

“The current performance of the Asian financial markets is having a profound
impact in the region and throughout the world, ” declared Ben Gilbey, director
of Business Development.

“Orientation Asia is now an ideal starting point for both local investors who
want a quick round up of the market’s activities or investors from outside
Asia, who have unit trusts with an Asian component.”

According to Orientation, visitors to the site can look up the name or ticker
symbol of all companies listed on country exchanges and get access to the
latest closing prices, previous day’s and 52 weeks’ high and low prices, and 2
year historical price charts. For each exchange there is a breakdown of the top
ten movers plus charting of the exchange index for the past 90 days and two
years.

“The opportunities in Asia are enormous,” said Kathleen Yao, chief operating
officer of Manila based Interactive Data Systems. “You just have to know where
to find them. iDS and Orientation Asia can point you in the right direction.”

Orientation Asia Money is apparently the first in a number of planned upgrades
to the network’s six regional portals and its expanding network of country
portals.
