Proteus Hosting
launched a new web hosting service Monday, claiming that it offers more features per pound than any other in the U.K.

The offering is an indication that the Internet hosting business
in the U.K. is becoming as competitive as it is in the United
States. For £199 (+ VAT) in the first year the customer
gets 60 MB of web space, remote administration, 25 POP3
mail accounts, unlimited mail forwarding and domain name
registration.

“In designing PremierHost we aimed to exceed the service on
offer from every other UK supplier,” said Proteus managing
director, Niels Bryan-Low.

A division of Proteus the Internet Consultancy, Proteus Hosting
has clients across the whole spectrum of business, from small
and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to blue chip multi-nationals.
It says it aims to meet the needs of all its customers by offering
industrial strength speed, reliability and security —
including specially dedicated power systems for those
who need them.

Founded in 1995, Proteus the Internet Consultancy helps
firms use the Internet to improve their business. It
specialises in analysing and defining business
processes and provides strategic consultancy to
companies that want to get more out of their use of the
Internet.
