Quote.com, which provides financial information online, Friday acquired IPO Crossroads.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
IPO Crossroads specializes in analyzing initial public offerings. The two companies partnered late last year to launch Quote.com’s IPO Center.
“This acquisition further enhances our ability to provide smart investors with the most comprehensive investment tools and information on the Web,” said Robert Honeycutt, Quote.com’s president and chief executive officer.
“IPO Crossroads meshes perfectly with our strategy to provide unique value-added tools, content and highly-focused and relevant commentary.”
Founded in 1992 by Robert Bennin, IPO Crossroads uses its own mathematical model to help investors determine the value of an initial public offering.
Bennin and the staff of IPO Crossroads will all join Quote.com. Bennin will become director of investment research at Quote.com and will produce the site’s IPO Edge section.
