Real Networks is once again building up their senior management team, announcing today the appointment of Gary Drucker as vice president, Consumer Division and Scott Ehrlich vice president of Programming.

In his new position as vice president, Consumer Division, Drucker will be responsible for helping to integrate the various elements of the consumer business based on his mixture of experience in media and technology.

This is the second time in the recent past that Real has brought aboard an established media exec to their senior management team, appointing Larry Jacobson, former President of Fox Network and Ticketmaster as President and Chief Operating Officer earlier this month.

Drucker joins RealNetworks from Digeo Broadband, an interactive television company where he was Vice President of Content Development.

Prior to Digeo, Drucker was Chief Operating Officer of CEG Films for 2 years. He also spent eight years at Philips Media, where he was a Vice President of the Sidewalk Studio division.

Drucker holds a B.F.A. in film from New York University and has a M.F.A. in film from Yale University.

“We are extremely fortunate to be able to count Gary Drucker as a member of RealNetworks’ executive team,” said Richard Cohen, senior vice president, Consumer Division, RealNetworks, Inc. “Gary’s wealth of experience in the entertainment and interactive technology industries will provide valuable insight as RealNetworks seeks out innovative new ways to connect consumers with great content.”

Scott Ehrlich, Real’s newly appointed vice president of Programming, will oversee content development and programming for a variety of properties on the Real.com Network.

Ehrlich comes to RealNetworks from Rival Networks, the publisher of Rivals.com, where he served as Executive Vice-President and General Manager.

Prior to that, Ehrlich was the senior vice president and executive producer of News America Digital Publishing, with responsibility for all editorial, production, technology and product development for News Corporation’s content-based digital publishing ventures, including FOX.com, FoxNews.com and FoxSports.com.

Ehrlich received his bachelor of arts degree from Kenyon College in Ohio and his masters degree from The Graduate School of Political Management in New York.
