This year’s Internet World Australia Pacific 98
Conference and Exhibition has broken previous attendance records for the
fourth year in a row, with organisers and exhibitors alike delighted with
the size and quality of the attendance.

Exhibitors told Internet World reporters they were impressed with the
quality of visitors to the event, indicating a growing awareness of
e-commerce and Internet technologies in corporate Australia.

The event 98 was hailed as “extremely well-attended” by Peter Reid,
marketing director at Kirby Network Services which convened the event in
association with Mecklermedia. Some 13,405 people attended the show over
the three days from August 11-13, said Reid, with 85 exhibitors at the
trade show. There were also an estimated 650 delegates to the main
conference.

“This year signals the coming of age of the growth and development of the
show,” he added.
