Royal Bank Serves Women’s Personal Credit Interests

For the first time in a live Internet forum, a Canadian bank will publicly answer tough questions about personal credit from one of the country’s most important and influential group of people–Canadian women.

Royal Bank Financial Group will
sponsor “Personal Credit Matters for Women,” the first Internet live chat
focused on personal credit issues and women. The event will take place on
the Internet on February 5, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. (EST).

Participants will pose questions from their personal computers directly to a
panel of experts. The panel will be responding in real time. Participants
must pre-register.

“Personal credit is an important component in meeting women’s financial
needs and goals,” said Alberta Cefis, Vice President, Personal Credit
Services at Royal Bank. “Women are taking charge of their own affairs and
playing an active role in household finances. Nearly 90 per cent of women
will be responsible for their own financial needs at some point in their lives.”

During the session, Canadian women and a panel of the country’s leading
personal financial experts will discuss issues and get advice on several
subjects, including how to use credit to build personal wealth, financing
RSP contributions, financing large purchases and higher education,
accessibility of personal loans and residential mortgages, and establishing
and maintaining a strong credit record.
