E-commerce, multimedia and Internet tools developer Sausage Software has announced plans to acquire trade hub specialist Open Trade Network (OTN) Australia in a bid to increase the
scope of services on offer to clients.

Sausage Software director Wayne Bos said the acquisition represents
“another step in Sausage’s strategy to become a leading provider of
e-commerce and business solutions to major corporate and small to medium
sized businesses.”

“Given Sausage’s understanding of the Internet and the future of
e-commerce, the move to include online business-to-business service as part
of the offer was an obvious one,” added Bos.

“Business hubs are a way in which companies can take advantage of the reach
of the Internet,” said Bos. “OTN not only allows buyers and sellers to communicate more
efficiently, but enables them to develop commercial relationships on a much
larger scale than would otherwise be possible.”

OTN provides organisations with e-commerce solutions to the tendering
process by marrying buyers with sellers online, and facilitating local,
national and global transactions across more than 2000 supplier categories.
The acquisition is presently subject to formal contract documentation.
