Senada.com yesterday launched their mobile commerce platform that allows professional event planners to sell tickets on wireless devices.

Senada Wireless Commerce is the latest in a suite of services for professional event planners to create, send and manage event communications via the Internet.

“The most common user will be a professional event planner,” says Dan Arnall, VP of Marketing for Senada.com. “An example event would be a person in charge of arranging a professional conference for a group of 500 executives using the service to invite their membership list. This group tends to be very mobile and being able to reach them with an event communication while they’re on the go gets the event planner’s message ‘above the noise’.”

The company’s new WAP-commerce feature allows consumers to RSVP for an event and at the same time purchase their event ticket with a credit card via their WAP-enabled device.

According to Arnall the need for such a service was two-fold. “Our soon to be announced European distribution partners required a mobile commerce enabled version of our service because of the growing trend in Germany, Finland and the UK to purchase on the phone. Having a compelling and complete solution in place, raised the value of our service to telcom partners who have proven the m-commerce market overseas.”

In addition Arnall notes: “Senada.com’s users in the U.S. are more and more professional event planners who require a complete solution for their event communications. Adding WAP commerce increased our usability to this group and reinforced our lead in out-innovating everyone else in the market.”
