Bellevue-based FreeRein has acquired Seattle-based Clarios (formerly Senada.com).
Senada.com, best known for its Web-based event communications platform, announced its move into the wireless arena late last year.
The Seattle-based company, which changed it’s name to Clarios, became a member of the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) and formed partnerships with such companies as Wireless Services Corporation and AT&T Wireless Services.
In September 2000 Clarios unveiled its Managed Messaging Platform. A platform that would allow companies to extend event communications to wireless and handle “one-to-many” communications.
It is the technology behind that exact wireless platform that Bellevue-based FreeRein will now be able to incorporate into its suite of applications.
FreeRein is also gaining access to a platform that is already in use by several well-known companies, including American Greetings and Sonera zed.
According to FreeRein’s CEO Don Davis, Clarios’ messaging platform and products fit directly into FreeRein’s
vision for an aggregated mobile platform solution.

solutions provide,” says Davis.
Employees of Clarios, including CEO Gregory Brown, will be joining the FreeRein team at FreeRein’s Bellevue headquarters. FreeRein also maintains an office in San Jose.
