Mobile software developer FreeRein Wednesday (March 14) announced a strategic alliance with XUMA, an Application Infrastructure Provider (AIP), to supply the core platform for their m-Commerce wireless component and managed hosting services.

Utilizing the XUMA CommerceX, ControlX and ContentX products, FreeRein will have a scalable, proven platform to provide wireless services to enterprise customers. Together, FreeRein and XUMA will offer comprehensive mobile solution stacks including hosting, monitoring, fulfillment, procurement and customer service.

Under the terms of the partnership, FreeRein can use the XUMA product offering to access applications including: ATG Dynamo, BEA WebLogic, Documentum, Interwoven, Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 and Moai.

XUMA CommerceX 2.1, ControlX and ContentX include the features commonly needed to develop mission-critical, enterprise-ready e-business systems, as well as an optimized hardware and software infrastructure and a managed service environment.

The XUMA products can be customized to meet the needs of any business via a XUMA Certified Integration Partner. Powered by XUMA’s streamlined procurement and provisioning process for network, hardware and software components, XUMA guarantees a development environment available within 48 hours.
