Mobile phone and accessories retailer Strathfieldhas completed the total
acquisition of Internet-based computer and office products retailer Ozbuy for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Strathfield’s e-commerce strategy
by both expanding the product range and giving the company access to
customers who have shown a preference for shopping online.

Ozbuy was founded last year and aimed to become Australia’s first
Internet-based comparison and transaction products site, offering computer
and electronic products from any related site in Australia.

“The Ozbuy management team will bring to Strathfield Internet sales
expertise that will further enhance the group’s e-commerce strategy,” said
Strathfield chief executive officer Andrew Kelly.

The founders of Ozbuy will both continue as principals within the
wholly-owned operation and will also move into the Strathfield management
team.
