Banks and investment firms are among the early adopters of the iPad in the enterprise, according to a new survey by mobile device management applications provider Good Technology.
As Enterprise Mobile Today reports, nearly 37 percent of financial services firms surveyed said they have installed iPads in their organizations and many more plan to do so in the next 12 months.
Good Technology surveyed more than 4,000 of its enterprise customers ahead of the release of its updated Good for Enterprise mobile security and device management app at the Apple App Store.
“We believe these industries are embracing the iPad because its unique design makes it easier to perform time-sensitive, mission-critical tasks,” John Herrema, Good’s senior vice president of corporate strategy, said in a statement.
Financial services firms are embracing the iPad in their organizations faster and with more enthusiasm than the next three industries combined, according to a new survey by mobile device management software developer Good Technology.
Almost 37 percent of financial services firms queried said they had deployed between one and 1,000 iPads in their organizations, easily outpacing IT companies (11.4 percent), healthcare organizations (10.5 percent) and legal firms (8.8 percent).
