Esavio, a managed services and application development company, will serve customers of the forthcoming NAP of the
Americas under a strategic alliance announced today with the NAP’s owner, Terremark Worldwide, Inc., .
Miami-based Terremark operates the NAP — a high-speed internet pipeline to be
used by internet service providers and other technology companies in the U.S. and Latin America. The company said esavio will offer its services to customers in current and future TerreNAP data centers in
Latin America and Asia as well.
Under the terms of the agreement, Terremark will add esavio’s application development, network and systems integration
and managed services offerings to the portfolio of TerreNAP services available to customers of the NAP of the Americas.
Esavio will, in turn, offer Terremark’s services to its customers.
Manuel D. Medina, Terremark’s chief executive, said the partnering with esavio will enhance his company’s “position as
the single point of contact for our customers.”
Together, the two companies will offer hosting and colocation with application development, network and systems
integration and managed services that include security, applications, server and network management services. Esavio is
based in Devon, Penn.
Terremark’s NAP of the Americas is already offering some services
through an interim location near the site of the NAP’s permanent home in downtown Miami. That facility is scheduled to
open before the third quarter of 2001.
